Mei Jing Vegetarian Food

Mee goreng is not on their original menu of Stir-fry dishes but I tried my luck and the friendly vendor readily accede to request. A spicy flavourful pack of delicious mee goreng was produced. Thumbs up!!!
But sadly this stall known for its economical price has also recently revised its price upwards from $3 to $3.50 for stir-fry dishes and economical rice orders from 3 dishes at $2.50 to $3.:-p.
Hope it remains the price and quality for more years...

Mei Jing Vegetarian stall #01-76, is located at the Beo Crescent market's food centre just in-front of Blk 40 Havelock Road, 2 streets away from Tiong Bahru Plaza. It opens early around 7am to 4pm daily and rests on Sunday.

Cereal beancurd- Nice! Nice! Nice!;-)
XingHua Vermicelli - surprisingly this plain looking Vermicelli tasted good too...:P
Shanghai style Zhajiang Mian  (Mixed sauce noodles) - Love it! :-)

Finally able to taste vegetarian version after seeing it being ordered frequently in Korean & Japanese drama series :P
Oh, look out for their imported eggless ice-cream from Taiwan if you feel like having some cold desserts.: -)

Xin Man Yuan Vegetarian Restaurant

Being spacious and elegantly decored, Xin Man Yuan, can be a good vegetarian banquet dining choice in town. M wanted to give a try on this town sister restaurant of Miaoyi at Coronation Plaza and so here we were. :-P

5 Platter combinations - the idea of bean sprouts to be found in the dish is weird but I must admit it tasted good :P

Claypot Monkey-head Mushroom - recommended to try :-)

Pumpkin Sharks Fin - Nice pumpkin soup taste that steals the show of sharks fin :-)

Roast Duck - to be eaten in similar style as Miaoyi's popular dish of vegetarian suckling pig

Barbacue Spicy Fish - my favourite :-)

Olive with Four seasons beans - quite nice

Fried Hongkong noodles - quite flavourful

Generally, ambience is good and dishes reasonably tasty, likely to return to try other dishes. :-)

Xing Hua Vegetarian Restaurant

It has been long while I had visited Xing Hua at Fortune Centre after its up-class renovation. My favourite stall of "pick your own Ngian Toufu pieces with favourite laksa gravy" was gone after renovation ...
Finally, walked in one fine day and packed home some dishes...which their normal Stir-fry dishes are now priced $5 and above. :P (Well, almost all vegetarian outlets there are selling above $5 now except perhaps some dishes at Pine-tree.)

Fish & Chips- mock fish of soy texture~reasonable taste

Xinhua Fried Mee-hoon - quite nice

Olive Fried Rice- fragrant :-)

Located at level 1 corner of Fortune Centre, just opposite Herbivores.

素唯美 健康素食

T informed me there is a New Vegetarian stall, #01-88 (at stretch facing the road) at Redhill Market Food Centre .
Managed by a Chinese young couple, it sells handmade noodles and with healthy concept in mind, the boss especially recommends his healthy beetroot noodles. Will try next round :-).
I ordered their dry mushroom minced meat noodles instead. Well, the texture of the noodles is average and it would be preferred the mock ikan bilis is not added with the noodles so that it is easier to enjoy the noodles without having to bite something hard which affected the overall dining experience. But I like the big bowl of soup with good portion of vegetables that accompanied my order o dry noodles and the additional order of their own-made wanton of vegetables fillings. : -)
The stall opens daily till 9pm from Tuesday to Sunday.

Annalakshmi Restaurant

"Eat What You Want, Give What You Feel,
We Believe in You, We Trust You"

Cool! Have always heard from P about this Indian Vegetarian restaurant that adopted this "Eat What You Want, Give What You Feel, We Believe in You, We Trust You" concept.
Finally visited it one fine day.: -)
If not for P who brought me there,  if I passed by Central Square,  I would not have thought that behind that well carved door is a restaurant.
One may be impressed by the decorations inside when stepped in. You will be led to a table and served just like in a traditional restaurant. The dishes are buffet style at one corner but you may order the popular Indian drink~lassi, ( sweet, salted or fruit lassi of the day ) at no extra charges.
The buffet spread for that day had a few dips and curry, naan, white and biryani rice, vegetables, fried stuff and desserts. Spread was good though I was expecting to try their variety of staple dough food there other than only naan.
It is an interesting experience dining there and P recommended to always call to make reservations.
