A new Vegetarian Indian Cuisine stall opened at Tiong Bahru market food centre, making it the 3rd Vegetarian stall at the food centre. From the name, I was expecting prata but it was not in sight on day of visit or its menu signboard.
I saw Nasi Briyani, Rojak Noodles, Mutton Soup, Mee Goreng, Fried Mee Hoon and Fried Rice on display. They have curry puff too.
It is a welcome change from the traditional vegetarian standard mee hoon stall so I decided to try their Rojak Mee which resembles mee rebus in the gravy with yellow noodles, accompanied by fried bean curd slices and fried vegetable fritters.
Taste wise so so but I do like their Nasi Briyani which I packed home for lunch.
The yellow flavoured rice was soft and tasty with nice curry mutton and crispy papadum.
Their curry puff skin is a bit thick in my opinion but the ingredients of potatoes is quite nice.
I would likely return to try their mutton soup which the owner recommended saying it is very nice and added it is vegetarian.: -)
The stall is managed by a Chinese couple hence their cooking style of Indian food is more towards Chinese taste rather than authentic Indian taste.
It is located at level 2 of Tiong Bahru market level 2 food centre, at straight far rear end corner from the escalator. Just 2 stalls away from the popular long queue vegetarian white mee hoon stall, Ruyi Vegetarian.
