Ru Yi Vegetarian (Tiong Bahru Market)

This pioneer stall had finally increased its price to $3 only instead of choice of $2.50 & $3 and thankfully their portion increased as well to make it a reasonable plate. Now at least they standardise the ingredients to a good portion unlike past. I would say their quality of service had improved! Their white Mee-hoon and marinated green chilli are still as authentic nicer than other stalls which tried to serve similar, hence the reason for their always long queue.

Located at 2nd level food centre, Far left Corner from direction of escalator of Tiong Bahru Market (30 Seng Poh Road), about 2 bus-stop away from Tiong Bahru MRT. Bus: 5, 16, 33, 63, 121, 195, 851.

Wang Jiao Vegetarian Food (Haig Road Food Centre)

Searching around Haig Road area for vegetarian, I was told nearest was this only vegetarian stall at Haig Road Food centre. It sells variety of vegetarian delights like Vegetarian Prawn Noodles, Kway Chap, Stir-fry dishs like Hor Fun, Fried Rice, Fried Mee Hoon, etc. Craving for something soupy, I decided to try its Kway Chap.
At $2.50, it is a reasonable big bowl with bean curd, mock intestine, tau-pok and nice soup with mild herbal and 8Jiao taste. Its Fried Mee Hoon looked good too, will try next round....

It is located at Haig Road Food centre, #01-35, around 3rd row of the food centre, nearer to the Main Road stall.

Dining Hall of Buddha Tooth Relics Temple

Was at Chinatown area & feeling thirsty, recalled the Dining Hall of Buddha Tooth Relics temple at their Basement 1 serves own brewed/boiled herbal drinks at $1. Hence visited it and Apple water is today's drink of the day. Discovered that Char Siew Dumpling Noodles is on their Today menu and looked good so ok have an early lunch...
I ordered their soup version and the soup is flavourful with nice springy noodles. Quite a good portion of noodles accompanied by some mock roasted pork of soy base and 2 instant dumplings. They also serve brown rice with dishes to choose from and looked quite popular to office staff around the area as well as more patrons turned up as lunch hours approaches. Nice ambience, spacious and air-conditioned with the price considered reasonable. A good venue for tea-break and lunch consideration!

It is located at Basement 1 of Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum which is located at Chinatown: 288 South Bridge Rd, off Sago street or opposite the famous Maxwell food centre, nearest MRT: Outram/Chinatown MRT. It is open from 9am-3pm.

Soon Lee Vegetarian (Near Red Hill MRT Hawker Centre)

Had a craving for dry noodles and remembering Soon Lee which I had not visited for months serves quite nice dry noodles, visited it this morning.
Well, indeed the standard maintains. Nice springy noodle texture and the vendor allowed change of accompanying ingredients such as mock roasted pork with mock fish making the meal even more enjoyable for me. Thumbs up! :-)

Located beside the market near RedHill MRT, it is the central corner stall at 1st stretch opposite the HDB shops.

Real Food Cafe

Real Food's Novena outlet is located under B1 escalator of Square 2 after coming out from Novena MRT station.

Though over here is open concept layout, it has similar theme as its Orchard branch. Casual relaxing environment attracts working professionals around the area.
Ordered their Pizza which has same if not better standard of nice crust from memory.
Oh saw many patrons ordering their popular dumplings too and looked good when served.
Hmm, may return for more...

八仙素食 (Koufu - Toa Payoh central)

Long time didn't visit 8 Immortals at Koufu Toa Payoh, didn't see my favourite Ngian Toufu available but on its special menu was Mock Mutton Herbal Soup. Hence, decided to try. A big bowl with strong herbal taste, quite worth the $5 with brown rice ($4.50 if white rice) for the quality. Oh I do feel energised after taking the big bowl of soup, I would recommend for those who are not used to taking tonic soup to share.

The foodcourt is located above NTUC opposite OCBC bank at 2nd level.
