Vegetarian Food at Circuit Road Food Centre!
From exit B, one can see the popular food centre praised by many vegetarians.
My friend brought me to his favourite stall which serves his favourite nasi lemak available only on Saturdays. (On right stretch if coming from mrt direction)
Rice really fragrant and well cooked. And I like the Achar and the panda leave wrapped chicken ?
Can try again when have craving for nasi lemak. 😊
Friend recommended a soup stall after we finished the nasi lemak and wanted to look for something soupy. It is on the left stretch of the food centre when coming from direction of Mattar mrt exit B.
They have pumpkin corn soup other than the vegetarian shark fin soup we tried at $3 per bowl.
Thumbs up 👍👍got restaurant standard or much better than the one served by a restaurant I visited recently 😐
Being served on such porcelain bowls also added more points !! 😁

EcoHarmony Cafe
Tried their Abacus seeds (算盘子) at a catered buffet and love it but on visit to the cafe, discovered it is even nicer in terms of texture and have it at the nice cosy environment.
We also ordered their Daily special : Thursday set of Nasi Kunyit (nice curry!!!) and refreshing popiah set that comes with nice dessert (大麦, I usually don't fancy this dessert but they cook it really well).

Ming De Vegetarian
The Braised Tofu tasted okay, not saltish but a pity the rice was not served steaming hot. The Vegetarian Sharks Fin Soup was quite nice and costed $5 for a big bowl that could serve 4-5. Very worth the price for the standard.:-)
However, pls note that they also serve eggs and hence important to inform them if you do not take eggs as they do not usually clarify and would serve the dishes with eggs by default. :-(
(located at Kitchener Complex just behind Construction above Lavender MRT facing side road opposite Citylights)
It also does catering and can be contacted at 94551829/91074245.
Opens daily 9.30am-9.30pm

Create Healthy Lifestyle
We decided to try its Nasi Briyani set and Eight Treasure Brown Rice set at $5.50 that is accompanied with a free bowl of delicious watercess soup (boiled with almond and fig).
Strongly recommend its Nasi Briyani set for those who can take spicy food. :-) The rice was fragrant and the potato well cooked with spicy curry and the spicier mock mutton made me feel more like in India than what I tasted in India. The green vege was also well-cooked and tasty.
Though the other brown rice set's side dishes may looked less tasty and smaller in portion in comparison, my friend highly compliment the Eight-Treasure brown rice and prefer it to Nutri-Hub's brown rice-set. The shop also serves interesting fruit yoghurt drinks which seems to be quite popular. ;-) Like other organic cafe, there is also a small section selling vegetarian products. At a much more reasonable price and expansion of seating capacity, I believe it is likely to be a threat to New Green Pasture Cafe.
Address: 190 Middle Road, Fortune Centre, #02-04, S(188979). It is located at Fortune Centre which is just a few minutes walk from the famous Kwan Im Temple at Waterloo street.

NutriHub the organic fusion cafe
After recent heavy meals, I decided to let my stomach take a break and a good alternative would be to visit Nutrihub. They have a new dish on their menu: Chilli Tofu Miso Ramen. It was smashed beancurb and shredded mushrooms on top of the Ramen and the gravy was supposed to be abit spicy as name suggested, however, I can't taste the spicyness at all and have to add their very precious hand-made chilli which the owner/staff will personnally help you with to avoid wastage.:P It definitely tasted much healthlier...
The cafe is located at Cuppage Plaza, #B2-25 (behind OG Orchard, near Centrepoint).

New Green Pasture Cafe
From what I know, there are at least 3 vegetarian outlets , 1 vegetarian bakery, 1 vegetarian supply shop at its level 1,
1 organic cafe, 2 vegetarian local delights outlet at level 2,
and 1 organic cafe at level 4.
Their soba salad which is soba with similar to CNY Yusheng vegetables and sauce is my favourite. It had been sometime since I last visited and its menu had expanded and there is a really a good variety and is a great place to visit with friends to share.
Craving for rice instead of noodles that day, I decided to try their Korean Stone Pot Rice, Bibimbup. Not well reflected in the picture, it was a beautiful replica of the original non-vegetarian version.
The Egg-yolk like at centre if I recall correctly, tasted like small roasted potato with belachan chilli stuffed below it, the yellowish on top left are mashed beancurb, other ingredients included shreds of carrot, seaweed, mock meat floss, and the big bean sprouts. The set at $9.50 comes with nice kimchi (without garlic which is usually used in making of kimchi) and you may add $1 to get a bowl of soup of day that donates towards Vegetarian society. Portion is just right for a hungry me. I was surprised at the speed their dishes are being served and wished that they could have cooked slightly longer so that the rice would have the slight burnt sizzling taste. The owner who has a loud voice reminds me of Mdm Wong of Ci Yan Xuan who also serves fantastic Bibimbup but is only on their ad-hoc menu of the day. (Must try shd you visit on that lucky day!!!) Their concept of organic healthy vegetarian food seems to be very similar too...

7 Sensations
I had wanted to try the Clam Chowder Soup that ilovemyveg recommended but it was not on the menu (guess it is soup of the day) so we tried their Soup of the day: Carrot soup instead.
This is the 1st time I tried carrot soup in western style & a pleasant surprise. It was rich and creamy, and sweet like the pumpkin soup that I love. If they serve it with nice crunchy bread, it could be a fulfilling meal by itself.
The restaurant used to be located at 16 Madras street, Now at 9 Raffles Boulevard, #P3-07 (3rd Floor) Parco.

Very healthy and nutritious. Can see quite a number of patrons ordering the set. The soup that I tried that day was celery with 7? beans, tasted abit mushy and beany. :P

甜甜屋 BB Home Sweet Home Cafe
=======================
It is great to know more vegetarian places available at Bishan!
Originally I had intended to try Fo Xin again at S11 but saw a queue for it and as I was rushing for my class, I decided to make a detour to this new vegetarian shop introduced by Vegetarian Society's newsletter, located just a few steps away.
I recalled seeing All About Veggie's compliment about its rice sets and phew, no queue then and was warmly introduced to try their black bean sauced abalone mushroom rice which they promised could be served within a few minutes.
It is located at HDB behind Bishan CPF building & Library, steps away from S11 coffee shop: 505A Bishan Street 11 #01-440 Singapore 570505.
Opening hours: 11.30 to 3pm, 5pm to 10pm. Rests on Thurs except if it's the 1st or 15th day of the lunar month
