SHU Vegetarian, a shop located at Blk 554, AMK street 54, #01-2040.
They have Indian Rojak with good gravy and Claypot Braised Brinjal with thumbs up up!!!
After these hot flavourful dishes, we had Bitter gourd soup that is cooling...

Oh but they do have egg in some of their dishes so for those who don't take eggs, please do remember to highlight that you do not take eggs when you order.

Mei Jing Vegetarian Food

Mee goreng is not on their original menu of Stir-fry dishes but I tried my luck and the friendly vendor readily accede to request. A spicy flavourful pack of delicious mee goreng was produced. Thumbs up!!!
But sadly this stall known for its economical price has also recently revised its price upwards from $3 to $3.50 for stir-fry dishes and economical rice orders from 3 dishes at $2.50 to $3.:-p.
Hope it remains the price and quality for more years...

Chang You Fu Vegetarian (Centrepoint Kopitiam Food Court)

Was glad to know a new Vegetarian stall, Chang You Fu Vegetarian, opened at Orchard Centrepoint Food court so decided to pop by while at Orchard. Located at centre of the stretch of stalls, it sells economical rice dishes as well as Stir-fry dishes. Since it had a big poster on its San-Mee, that shall be the order.
Well, taste wise was average but the stall would be a good alternative veggie choice for shoppers around the area.

Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food (Tai Sun Eating House near Lavender MRT)

Hurray, a new vegetarian stall opens within walking distance (2nd HDB block) from Lavender MRT for the evening as well (starts at 6+am to 8pm Daily).
A good news for vegetarians who visits the area for events for the morning & evening .
I was quite surprised by the revamped Ground level of the HDB block 808, French Road that now houses a NTUC Fairprice & on its left, a new Tai Sun Eating House that has a vegetarian stall with same name Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food but is unrelated to the popular Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food which is famous for its vegetarian laksa at Geylang.

Was told the owner is a Malaysian who used to cook for Vegetarian restaurant in Malaysia and he serves economic rice dishes as well as Stir-fry dishes. We tried some stir-fry dishes such as LuoHan Zhai (Mixed vegetables), Vegetarian Honey-sauced Pork Ribs, Fried Rice and Spicy Beancurd.
The Mixed Vegetables is of average standard, for those who don't mind mock meat will like the well marinated vegetarian pork ribs, the fried rice was of dryer & firmer grains though my preference is of softer & wetter version, its fragrance saved the dish. And my favourite is the appetising soft beancurd, thumbs up for that. :-)
On its signboard showed pictures of laksa and dry noodles, etc. as well.
Will definitely revisit given the long hours availability.
For those who may arrive late close to 8pm, to avoid disappointments, you may like to give Mr Wu a call at 98788639 to place your orders.
May there be continuity to serve the vegetarians around the area. :-)

Greenland Vegetarian Restaurant

Our caterer for the Mani Recitation Retreat 2012 for Full-timers' meal~ Greenland Vegetarian Restaurant.
We had Mixed Vege rice for lunch & Stir-fry dishes such as Fried MiTaiMak &  Fried Noodles for dinner.
Good thought and variety not to have Mixed vege rice for 2 meals and I would think this year's caterer is the best in comparison to past years and hence would like to compliment them to keep up the good work.
The portion is good and the food still warm when we have them. The dinner, especially the noodles is flavourful and oh chilli-lovers like myself have sparkling eyes when we saw the sliced chilli.:-)
Keep it up, 2 more days, pls continue to cook with love and perk up our energy!!!
Thank you to organisers, sponsors, volunteers and caterer!

According to the label on the box, Greenland is located at 789&791 Upper Serangoon Road Spore 534659.

Kiat Lim Vegetarian Food 吉林素食

Sadly, ceased operations...

Kiat Lim Vegetarian Food is the latest Vegetarian restaurant added in the East, maybe the nearest Vegetarian outlet if one is looking for Vegetarian food nearest from Taipei Buddhist Centre, 1 MRT station away from Lavender. It is located at the stretch of shop-houses diagonally opposite Kallang MRT and opposite the Bus Interchange.
It serves traditional Chinese food menu and common Stir-fry dishes such as Horfun, Fried Hokkien mee etc which are flavourful in taste.
We ordered their Claypot Beancurd and Fried Mee Sua, which were quite flavourful and were complimented by my non-vegetarian friends. Generally, I think the dishes belong to the class of strong taste, good for those non-vegetarians or new vegetarians.
We also tried their recommended specialty dessert, the Teochew Yam and Pumpkin Paste (Ouni), which unknowingly to us, came in 1 hugh bowl that could serve at least 5 pax.
The non vegetarian version usually was added with pork lard, so I was glad to try it the vegetarian version. Generally, I think it tasted good though my non-vegetarian friends still voted for their non-vegetarian version.
Glimpsing at neighboring tables that ordered their Hor-fun or mee, etc., I think they looked yummy, and the prices are in general quite reasonable, hence likely to return to try. :-P

Kiat Lim Vegetarian is located at 4 Jalan Ayer Singapore 389142.

Mei Jing Vegetarian Food

I start to love this vegetarian stall at Bt Ho Swee estate which sells a good variety of economical rice dishes (love their fried cauliflower) at $2.50 for 3 dishes as well as their Stir-fry dishes like this San-mee on left. Flavourful and economical at only $3. Mei Jing Vegetarian stall #01-76, is located at the market's food centre just infront of Blk 40 Havelock Road, 2 streets away from Tiong Bahru Plaza. It opens early around 7am to 4pm daily and rests on Sunday.

Xing Hua Vegetarian Restaurant

Went to this shop again and we ordered their Xing Hua Stir-Fry Ngian Gao (commonly known as Shanghais Glutinous Rice pieces) this round. This is difficult to cook as one has to control well to make it well cooked and not too hard or soggy. They managed it quite well and seeing alot of patrons ordered their double-boiled soup, we decided to try too. Their sweet corn with red dates and some mock meat was real sweet! Good try...:-)

This shop is located just opposite the Chinatown complex's row of shop houses along Smith street.

Nature Vegetarian (Sin Ming Ave)

Located just opposite Bright Hill Temple, sharing same building with a Childcare centre, Childland PL, Nature Vegetarian is a coffee shop selling only "vegetarian" food (however, not "pure vegetarian" as some food they sell may contain eggs so you have to notify them to be pure vegetarian or eggless when you order your food)

We ordered ala-carte dishes that day.
(Sambal Kang Kong)- Nice (Claypot Vinegar Pork, great for After-birth ladies)
(MaPo Toufu)

The vinegar pork tastes average but worth mentioning are the gingers in it. If you dare to eat ginger, you must try it. It absorbed the vinegar well & is really appetising & warms your stomach.

Was surprised that the MaPo Toufu that we ordered was not the dark-sauced version with mock minced meat. It looks & tastes more like sweet & sour toufu but never mind the name, it tastes great. Its very appetising sauce goes well with rice.:-)

Located at 409 Sin Ming Ave, #02-01 (Opp Bright Hill temple)
Opening hrs: 7am to 9.30pm
