八仙素食 (Koufu - Toa Payoh central)

No Niang Toufu when reach the stall and craving for their herbal soup, ordered their Herbal mutton soup noodles. Good bowl of hot soup for a cool weather and shiok chilli sauce. :-))

八仙素食 (Koufu - Toa Payoh central)

Yaya,  featuring my favourite ngian toufu stall again.
Mild herbal taste soup with rare to find vegetarian dumplings and nice fried bean curd pieces.
Hmm their fillings for the pieces have improved!
And glutton me couldn't resist ordering their just cooked pumpkin that looked delicious...

八仙素食 (Koufu - Toa Payoh central)

Visited Toa Payoh central and could not resist going back to ordering this Vegetarian Ngian Toufu. Today's soup has a heavier herbal taste, making it even more palatable. :-))

八仙素食 (Koufu - Toa Payoh central)

I like their soup base with mild herbal taste.
And reasonable priced which I originally thought would cost above $4.
I watched a few patrons paid for their economical rice while waiting which I believe will cost at least a dollar or two more at other similar vegetarian stalls in food courts. Do Keep it down or stable! :-))

八仙素食 (Koufu - Toa Payoh central)

Long time didn't visit 8 Immortals at Koufu Toa Payoh, didn't see my favourite Ngian Toufu available but on its special menu was Mock Mutton Herbal Soup. Hence, decided to try. A big bowl with strong herbal taste, quite worth the $5 with brown rice ($4.50 if white rice) for the quality. Oh I do feel energised after taking the big bowl of soup, I would recommend for those who are not used to taking tonic soup to share.

八仙素食 (Koufu - Toa Payoh central)

One of my favourite Ngian Toufu stall. It has quite a variety to choose from with mock meat filling. The soup comes with a slight herbal taste & if you choose to eat it dry, they are generous with the sweet sauce as you can see in the picture. You must stop them in time if you are not such a sweet person :-)

八仙素食 (Koufu - Toa Payoh central)

Special of the day: Nasi Bryani (Yellow Ginger Rice).
The curry mutton & its gravy (nice) helps me to finish the big portion of rice.:-)
But they used normal wonton skin instead of the Indian type of flour crackers.
Would prefer the latter though.:P
The stall also sells stir-fry dishes like Mee Goreng as well as Mixed Rice dishes and Ngian Toufu.
