Mei Jing Vegetarian Food

Tired of fried meehoon...they have the curry flavoured glutinous rice (nice!) accompanied with side dishes of pumpkin and favourite fried cauliflowers! :-))

On another occasion, wanting something hot for weak stomach after long hours of working... the owner willingly agreed to cook something not on his regular menu ~ Simple Kway Teow Soup and attracted more orders when mine was served...:-)

Mei Jing Vegetarian stall #01-76, is located at the Beo Crescent market's food centre just in-front of Blk 40 Havelock Road, 2 streets away from Tiong Bahru Plaza. It opens early around 7am to 2.30pm daily and rests on Sunday.

ELEMEN

Visiting Suntec, decided to drop by ELEMEN @ Millenia Walk to try its dishes.
On day of visit they only have choice of 8 course set or Ala carte dishes...
As we are not hungry, we decided on ala carte dishes.
1st came the Spinach salad, which was cold but with nice presentation and sauce.
Then their Spicy Shitake with Purple Rice Roll... hmm... it would tasted much better if the filling inside the rice roll ~ believed to be fried flour pieces could be less and the rice more moist as after eating a few pieces, the overwhelming taste of the filling of fried flour pieces does not encourage one to finish the dish. :-P
Among the 3 dishes, the 3rd dish of Asia Curry with Dough Balls is more interesting.
I like the vegetables cooked in the mild curry gravy, especially the weird shaded romanesco broccoli, which goes well with the baked cheese dough ball (tasted like prata rolled :P).
Business is quite good for Elemen on day of visit, it was quite packed and that is a good sign and hopefully their service and quality of  improve and business sustain for vegetarians to have another choice...

Elemen is located at
