Yes Natural Bakery (Haig Road)

Exploring the Haig Road area for vegetarian food, I came across an outlet of Yes Natural Bakery! Located at Blk12, Haig Road, #01-349, S430012, it is just near/opposite the Haig Road Hawker centre. There's even waffle and ice-cream on sale in the shop but I am not sure if it's also eggless though.

But at least a complement if the only vegetarian stall at the hawker centre is not open, one can also have the eggless bread.

I was told that to cater to the local likes there, the cakes are not eggless so if you are on vegetarian diet, do clarify any purchases in this outlet on a safe mode.

The shop also sells vegetarian supplies.

Yes Natural F&B (Retail & Bakery)

It's been a long while since I pass by Geylang Lor27 stretch (2nd stretch of shop houses near Aljunied MRT) & I was impressed by the renovated Yes Natural Retail shop which now is just side by side with its Bakery & Restaurant.

 

 

The product shelves are now much better organised from last visit and wide variety and choice of similar Vegetarian products of different brands such as the range of tidbits shown in picture which also have improvements in packaging.

Likewise is their improved bakery presentation of vegetarian bread, it is getting more popular and does not lose out in taste to non-vegetarian version.

Sunrise Bread Cafe

Another nice vegetarian bakery choice for vegetarians! Again located at the Vegetarian Paradise, at Bugis area - Fortune centre.

It is located at center row of shops just after Tracy Juice from direction of Waterloo street, you may just easily miss it.

Tried their vegetarian Otah bread & Sardine bread. The Sardine tasted much like the vegetarian Otah smashed but nice in their unique way. They also serve bread with Vegetarian Curry as their main course which looks tempting.
Passed by recently and they had added some main course to their menu other than just bread.
Looks interesting...

YOGI HOUSE

I visited YOGI HOUSE, an organic eatery located at Fu Lu Shou building, the mall famous for the many crystal shops located in it.
It's at a corner, #02-08. Almost 1/3 of it shops also sells dry stocks like vegetarian snacks and supplies. Its menu had expanded from years ago since I last visited it.

You can find their popular brown rice sets, soup & dry noodles, fried mushrooms, etc. I noticed something interesting: Pumpkin soup with walnut bread which I decided to try mainly for the soup as I am not much a bread lover.

However, the soup turned up to be abit bland and the bread tasted better than expected. Quite crunchy that my bread-lover friends would definitely love. :-)

At the shop, one can find the various vegetarian snacks that I recommended at my other blog. :-)

Interesting Vegetarian Bread!!!

(Garlic bread)

Smell like garlic bread & I have to ask the shop assistant if it is real garlic ingredient. Fortunately it does not have the garlic aftertaste and I like its replacement: the yellow butterish & the green spices combination. Nice :-)
I wonder what the green leave spices are called? Is similar to the type to add for laksa? I like that.

(Potato bun)

Very unique appearance with potato as its filling. Its exterior squarish skin is actually like those thin layer of popiah skin.

The shop is also busily preparing & selling Chinese New Year cookies. Already on its shelves, I see pineapple tarts. Most likely I will dropby again nearer the festive date to get some New Year cookies:-)

Cakes & Bread: Fully Vegetarian; No Eggs !!!

Do you believe it, they are actually vegetarian cakes!!!

For vegetarians who miss cakes, especially Birthday cakes, you can visit this shop at Rocher centre (its exterior is look of a very traditional cake house).

For years ever since I decided to be vegetarian on my birthday, I missed the good cakes. Until recent years, I was introduced to this shop & have been able to enjoy Vegetarian (No Eggs) Birthday cakes since :-)

I had tried other shops' vegetarian cakes but maybe bec the cakes did not contain eggs, the cakes are not as smooth & nice as normal cakes. This is the 2nd cake shop (the 1st had closed down:-() that I have tried so far that makes cakes just like standard of normal cake shops. I won't say that it is fantastic but good enough for me. :-) At least my non-vegetarian nephews can't taste the difference and still enjoy the cakes :-)(If anyone else do know of other nice vegetarian cake house, do share with us)

In my recent visit, I noticed that it sells Christmas log cakes as well. I have not tried it but it does look tasty as you can see from the pictures :P

(Blueberry cake)

Looks delicious right? It is nice but tasted abit too sweet during last try.:P Blueberry cake is so far my favourite from the shop.:-) However, in comparison to normal cake house, the price is abit steep for its special ingredient to replace eggs & it now costs about $40 for a kg (depending on type of cake ordered) due to rise of its ingredient costs.

Besides cakes, it also sells daily bread, miss your pizza bread or sambal prawn bread? You may find them there :P. There are also many other creative bread sold.
