Su Yuan Vegetarian

Learning from previous experience that we need to have a hearty meal before embarking on the Alexandra Arch Forest Walk, we had our breakfast at the nearby Telok Blangah Way Market Food Centre.

I am glad to find 2 Vegetarian stalls in the food centre. One is more the traditional standard meehoon/noodles stall and another has the Ala Carte dishes of Vegetarian Fish Soup, etc. Somehow, attracted that day to try the Su Yuan Vegetarian stall manned by an elderly man who looked very serious in serving the standard meehoon/noodles and which had a queue forming.
Well, the meehoon with the saltish gravy earned demerit points but the accompanying generous variety of ingredients of cabbage, french beans, black fungus, mock barbacue pork, compressed beancurb skin slices and crispy fried goose pieces at $2.50 made it worth a try. (but recommend to not ask for too much gravy) And yes, I would recommend their cripsy fried spring rolls! :-)

Located at Telok Blangah Way Blk 11 Market Food Centre, near road Diagonally Opposite Telok Blangah Hill Park entrance, towards Bt Merah central direction, opposite Safra Clubhouse.
