Tian Yuan Vegetarian

Prawn soup noodles, the best soup base with most resemblance to the actual version and the lady boss is happy to share the secret if you ask her. Replacing with yellow noodles, spaghettis is used to make it a more healthier dish. Should try if you are an vegetarian and misses prawn soup noodles...

This Vegetarian Supply Shop - Tian Yuan is hidden at level 2 (#02-23) of Fortune centre, right on 2nd stretch of shops up from the escalator. It takes a bit of effort to look for it but luckily it has a bright sign.

一心素食 Yi Xin Vegetarian, Chinatown

Yi Xin is definitely a good vegetarian choice if the weather is not too hot at Chinatown. Visited it again and looking for something new, tried its Dry "Dao Xiao Mian", literally translated as Knife Sliced Noodles. Well, their texture is like the slightly bigger version of Ban Mian which is much better than other stalls specialising in it which I find the texture usually too thick and rough so I was pleased with their version. With well-marinated Hugh mushroom and good quantity of fresh vegetables and the mock meat, it's quite a nice dish to me. :-)

Located at a coffee-shop at 39 Temple Street, 一心素食 is just near centre of street opp Lucky Chinatown. Opening hours: 8am to 10pm Daily.

y.w.q. Vegetarian Bistro

Finally, we found Yuan Wei Quan  y.w.q Vegetarian Bistro (it's my 3rd attempt to find it) which is about 15 minutes' walk from Tai Pei Buddhist Centre (near Lavender MRT). It is located on the other corner end of same road as Tai Pei Buddhist Centre (against traffic direction) in a new building CT hub. Walk inside the building and turn left, one will see this Bistro. I saw the familiar faces of the vendor who used to manage the stall at Basement foodcourt of Toa Payoh HDB Hub before renovation.
With different menu from their stall, here the Bistro serves a good variety of Stir-fry dishes and set meals. The prices are mainly from $4 onwards.
C had a craving for Mee Goreng & I was interested to try their Tom Yam Hor-Fun ($7).
And Good choice we made. The Mee Goreng was flavourful with a resemblance to the popular Punggol Mee Goreng style and the Tom Yam was spicy and sour of right taste, very appetising with the well-fried Hor-Fun. We would definitely return for more. May it survive well...

Located at #01-07, CT Hub (new building diagonally opposite S'pore Casket:P) at the other end of road of Tai Pei Buddhist Centre. Opens 11am-9.30pm on Mon-Sat.

Bright Hill Temple

My favourite Vegetarian Yusheng is from Bright Hill Temple.
Price for Small is $22 while Large is $38.
Not only me but my carnivorous family loves it, the sauce, an important element for a nice Yusheng is flavourful and we came back for more after trying it for past few years.
