Vesak@Orchard Vegetarian Food Fair

Some snapshots of food we had this afternoon.
Yes, my favourite Vegetarian Food Fair is back at Ngee Ann City this weekend again!
Still alot of prior year stall-holders but it seems this year there are more stalls and more selling at reasonable food court prices for quality food.

Vege burger for only $2 and water-mouthing Nonya pastries...
And striongly recommending the stall (can't remember if it is stall of kmspks) selling hand-made vegetarian Sambal/Belacan chilli that even has slices of mushroom and mock ikan bilis & the chilli tastes superb! Spicy with a lime taste, fantastically good to go with noodles & rice!!!!

The Almond noodles from Yes Natural and the Premium hand-made ice-cream are strongly recommended! The sushi stall is still there but sushi running out fast that I didn't manage to get my favourite fruit sushi :-(

The Dumplings, handmade by Venerable from Fo Yuan Lin, good vegetables filling in not too thick skin that goes well with the vinegar & chilli, and best taken hot on spot. (For those who missed it, they will be participating in another Vegetarian Food Fair on 29 May at Eunos MRT open field)

Don't wait, Hurry down to The Vegetarian Food Fair which is located just outside Ngee Ann City, Orchard Rd as part of Vesak@Orchard celebration from 30 Apr (Sat) 9am-9.30pm, 1 May (Sun) 9am-5pm.

I'm curious. How do you know about these events? I do a google search but it seems like only your blog contains information about this year's vegetarian food fair.

Anyway I hope I can make it to the 29 May Food Fair. Looks good.

Hi PreferVege,
The Vesak@Orchard celebration is an annual event and food fair is the star attraction for crowds, so it has become an inseparable part of the event.
Another annual vegetarian food fair I know is the Ren Ci Vegetarian food fair which used to be held at Suntec but in recent years they hold it at their new premises at Novena area.
Coming 29May event is bec glutton me ask the volunteers where could the dumplings to be found after the fair and they told me abt this coming Eunos fair.
I think if there are any Buddhist related food and fun fair, high possibility there would be vegetarian food fair as star attraction. :-)
And also friends know glutton me like such vegetarian food fair so they wld inform me if they know abt any. :-)

p.s. You have a nice blog! :-)

Hi there,im just concerned about food that contains dairy products in your meals.

Consuming dairy products is being cruel to cows..even goats milk too.

Dairy = cows = farms = meat for meat eaters after cows cant produce milk anymore...

Change our diet, be a vegan (no animal products).
Imagine all the cows day in and day out churning milk using machines. Farms only want profit, that do not care if cows are hurting or too tired...

change to drinking soymilk or even rice milk for a change! Spare the animals agony..thanks!
