Rice House 粥大王

Last posting for Rice House was July08, how time flies.
This time I decided to reorder my once-favourite- their signature vegetarian duck rice.
In my fade memory, their yam rice used to taste better but the gravy for the mock duck (made from mushroom stalk) is still as good. And their belachan chilli is nice too.

I noticed that they seem to have increased their range of tibits to sell at their shop.:P

They are located at Blk 129 Geylang East ave 1, beside Foo Hai Chan Monastery & Opposite Sims Ville Condo. May alight at 2nd bus stop from Aljunied MRT & walk further up & turn left to Monastery direction. They are closed on Monday. Tel: 6747 3739

Ha, finally I went there today. From Aljunied MRT, I walk under the MRT Track and there it is.

Wow, this is one of the veg shop that really pay so much attention to the Free Dharma books/cd. Impressed. A very nice wooden self full of free dharma books. And it has soothing Buddhist chants music. A good dinning place for Buddhist.

I like the wooden table and chair!

BTW, this veg stall was mentioned by Taxi Driver Alice Tan in Sunday times January 4 2009 – In search of the unknown in the Foodie CONFIDENTIAL column

ps. can't read your email, since some problem with my hotmail. Sigh!
