Yi Xing Cuisine

Replacing BB Home Sweet Home Cafe is this new outlet known as Yi Xing Cuisine, which though has same Chinese character as the Yi Xin Vegetarian at Chinatown, serves similar menu as BB Home Sweet Home Cafe. The price ranges from $3-$5 for the noodles and its main dishes from $8.
I decided to try its Black-pepper sauce Fried Udon $4 which the black pepper had previously captivated me at the same shop. Was surprised with the speed it was served, even faster than the rice served under the old cafe.
It was a nice plate of fried udon with strong black-pepper taste well-done with nicely shredded vegetables and generous portion of mushroom. Worth trying if you visit the shop next round and a black pepper lover. :-)
It is located at HDB behind Bishan CPF building & Library, steps away from S11 coffee shop: 505A Bishan Street 11 #01-440 Singapore 570505.

OH! Lately was thinking about this eatery.

I dined there before in Jun. All along, I tot that BB Home Sweet Home Cafe could have up with some unique and delicious veg*n dishes that compliment the nearby veg stall at S11.

Because vegetarian are now looking for something more than just vegetarian food and there is also another option in J8 Foodcourt.

Cosy Food court, air-con with drink, fruit and dessert stalls around and some of the dishes is on discount, even though choices not that much.

If I want nice coffee shop coffee/tea plus simple veg food, i might end up in S11. So, most of the time, i end up in J8 which is not really a best choice but comparatively yes.

My boy used to love the Fried Udon from Classic Lao Di Fang when he was much much younger. He said the one I cook not nice.

Going to let him know about this, hopefully his taste haven't change ...

Cheers crystal

Hi Crystal,
Children's taste do change overtime...however, he can always explore and rekindled the love.
There are some dishes that my mum can't do well that I prefer the "outside" version too.:P

Good week ahead....
Cheers :-)
