NutriHub the organic fusion cafe

I popped by Nutrihub today and tried their Daily Special Brown Rice set at $6 and with soup at $7 (I think the usual price for the daily special soup is $2) .
Very healthy and nutritious. Can see quite a number of patrons ordering the set. The soup that I tried that day was celery with 7? beans, tasted abit mushy and beany. :P

Nutrihub also holds weekend cooking workshops which you could find updates at their blog: http://www.nutrihub.blogspot.com/

The cafe is located at Cuppage Plaza, #B2-25 (behind OG Orchard, near Centrepoint).
Opening hours:- Monday to Saturday (10 am to 7 pm)
Sunday (10 am to 4 pm)

Oh, at same building level 1, just outside right rear entrance, you can find an organic pdts super-mart.:-)

Just Green Vegetarian Food (Takashimaya Food Court)

This is another long time vegetarian stall in Orchard, located at Basement Foodcourt of Takashimaya.
Wanted to try something light & soupy and this Kway Chap came into mind.
As can be seen from picture, the gravy was light with ingredients like beancurb skin, beancurb, mock meat and mock intestines, and the Kway Chap was soft.

The stall also sells a variety of speciality and mixed rice dishes, although slightly more expensive as located in a prime shopping mall foodcourt as compared to a few other alternatives introduced earlier, it's worth visiting too. And hopefully it can continue to stay in business to provide a good choice for consumers working/shopping around the area. :-)

YOGI HOUSE

I visited YOGI HOUSE, an organic eatery located at Fu Lu Shou building, the mall famous for the many crystal shops located in it.
It's at a corner, #02-08. Almost 1/3 of it shops also sells dry stocks like vegetarian snacks and supplies. Its menu had expanded from years ago since I last visited it.

You can find their popular brown rice sets, soup & dry noodles, fried mushrooms, etc. I noticed something interesting: Pumpkin soup with walnut bread which I decided to try mainly for the soup as I am not much a bread lover.

However, the soup turned up to be abit bland and the bread tasted better than expected. Quite crunchy that my bread-lover friends would definitely love. :-)
At the shop, one can find the various vegetarian snacks that I recommended at my other blog. :-)

Located at Fu Lu Shou building #02-08, at a corner amidst the crystal shops.
Last order at 6.30pm, closes at 7pm. Tel: 62971220

Vegetarian Stall at Singtel Comcentre Cafeteria

I prefer their special of the day menu which is at much reasonable price at range of $2-2.50. Fearing the small portion that cannot last me until late dinner, I often requested for upsize and they are really generous with the request.:-)
The spaghetti upsized costed only $3 & the wanton (mini dumplings) noodles' original cost is only $2. It may looked like there was insufficient gravy for the hugh portion of spaghettis but it turned out to be just nice portion and the tomato-sauced gravy (and spicy lovers, do request for their chilli sauce) was appetising for you to finish the hugh plate.
I ordered their soup wanton noodles upsized which the noodles almost filled up the whole bowl and it came with an extra portion of vegetables at only $2.50.
The soup was dark-sauced which is different from normal clear soup for wanton and was spicy with heaps of black pepper in it. The wantons were hand-made & nice. :-) I find these 2 menu of the day Very fulfilling and gives you a sense of satisfaction. :-)

The stall is located at Basement 1 of cafeteria of Singtel Comcentre at Somerset. No name (just known as stall m) but easily located when you visit the cafeteria, entering from door leading to car-park.

Xing Hua Vegetarian Restaurant

This shop is located just opposite the Chinatown complex's row of shop houses along Smith street. Xing Hua is a place in China and I assume their speciality is supposed to be their Xing Hua dishes. Hence, I ordered their Xing Hua Fried Vermicelli (Mee Sua/Mian Xian). The Vermicelli is usually cooked with Soup and is softer than Rice Vermicelli (Mee Hoon) so it requires additional skill to stir-fry it. I like its softness (my friend once commented that I am a baby food lover:P) and it comes with an overly generous portion of vegetables & garnished with some peanuts.

Its Ngian Toufu variety is not much, but the soup is quite nice with some herbal taste. The shop actually serves a variety from mixed rice dishes, stir fry dishes to snacks as well as brewed soup.

甜甜屋 BB Home Sweet Home Cafe

(Replaced by new outlet...)
=======================
It is great to know more vegetarian places available at Bishan!
Originally I had intended to try Fo Xin again at S11 but saw a queue for it and as I was rushing for my class, I decided to make a detour to this new vegetarian shop introduced by Vegetarian Society's newsletter, located just a few steps away.
I recalled seeing All About Veggie's compliment about its rice sets and phew, no queue then and was warmly introduced to try their black bean sauced abalone mushroom rice which they promised could be served within a few minutes.

No regrets ordering it as it really came fast, and though I can't really taste the black bean sauce as it was named, it had a pinch of black pepper that made the gravy very appetising to go with the rice. The mushroom with the red pepper & vege were well cooked and hmm, I like the black pepper gravy which was not too spicy. I guess I will go back to try other rice sets in future ...:-)

It is located at HDB behind Bishan CPF building & Library, steps away from S11 coffee shop: 505A Bishan Street 11 #01-440 Singapore 570505.
Opening hours: 11.30 to 3pm, 5pm to 10pm. Rests on
Thurs except if it's the 1st or 15th day of the lunar month

Fancy Vegetarian Food stall at Lucky Plaza

Yes, another new discovery of reasonably priced vegetarian food stall at Orchard!!!

This stall is situated in a "coffee shop" near to the right rear of Lucky Plaza level B1, among various food stalls, which is a hit with many office workers in Orchard.
It sells mixed rice dishes as well as stir fry Hor Fun, etc. I ordered the mixed dishes (my favorite mushrooms, braised beancurb skin, and a piece of mock prawn which is actually made of beancurb skin) with their ready fried Kway Tiao & noodles and that costed only $2.80. The dishes were not oily & the curry gravy was great.
If you are observant enough, there are actually small shops with food stalls located at the shopping malls like Lucky Plaza & Far East Plaza (upper levels) to cater to office workers in this expensive area.

This "coffee shop" is located to the further right of Asian Food Mall, just walk further right from the Food Mall and you will find this shop towards direction of the right entrance of Lucky Plaza.
